Looking to splurge a little on your next Walt Disney World adventure? Love exotic animals? Look no further–Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is for you!

While there are several impressive hotels on property, many of them are priced well beyond the scope of my everyday budget. However, when the opportunity to book the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Dennis’s dream hotel, came through the mail in the form of a generous pin code discount, I threw caution to the wind and booked it.

So, why should the average person splurge on Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge? There are several reasons, including the exotic animals, the magnificent lobby, the amazing restaurants, the impressive artwork, and the knowledgeable cultural ambassadors.

Disney’s Sanaa: A Restaurant Review

Located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Kidani Village, Sanaa is a full-service restaurant specializing in a blend of African and Indian cooking. Because we were staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our anniversary trip, I wanted to try all three restaurants, Jiko and Boma at Jambo House and Sanaa at Kidani Village.

Magic Bands: Your Key to the World

Hooray! Today’s the day we’ve been waiting for since we scheduled our Disney trip eight long months ago–our Magic Bands arrived in the mail!

While not quite as exciting as hopping in the car or getting on the plane, Magic Band day does signify that our vacation is coming soon. It’s actually exactly 22 days away.

Disney’s Harmony Barber Shop

On our way to the airport last month, my amazing husband mentioned that he hadn’t had time to get a haircut before vacation. (Never fear! Amazing wife here!) Since I am an avid reader, I know a few details that the average Disney Parks visitor may not know. In this case, I knew that there was a barber shop  located on the Town Square of  Main Street U.S.A. in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package

When planning our latest trip to the World, I stumbled across something I hadn’t heard of before, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.  The price was a little more than I’d normally pay for  lunch, but since we had just upgraded our free Disney Dining Plan, I thought “Why not?” and went ahead and booked it.
