Where to Find Cinderella at Walt Disney World

Sharing is caring!

When our daughter, Meghan, was young, she loved Cinderella. She watched the video EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.  She watched it so many times that I just knew that when we went to Walt Disney World, we weren’t coming home until she met her favorite princess. Fortunately, I knew just where to find Cinderella. And, with a little luck and some pixie dust, I was able to make the perfect  reservations so my little Meg could meet her favorite character.

Many little girls (and big ones too) love Cinderella. She’s the perfect heroine–she perseveres despite her evil stepmother and awful stepsisters. She is kind and loving, and she definitely deserves the perfect Prince Charming.  Luckily for us, Cindy can be found in many places throughout Walt Disney World which makes her one of the easiest princesses to meet.

So, where in the World can you find Cinderella?

Luckily for you, I’ve prepared a list of places that your little princesses and princes can find their favorite character, Cinderella.  Below is a list of places where Cinderella often can be located.

Magic Kingdom

Cinderella appears in several places throughout the day at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.  You can see her in parades and shows or have your photo taken with her at Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland.

FANTASYLAND
Princess Fairytale Hall

If you want to interact with Cinderella and get great photos, head to Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland.  If you don’t have a FastPass+ for this meet and greet, try to go first thing in the morning. Because Cindy spends time talking to each group, the queue can move rather slowly. Keep in mind that PhotoPass photographers are available to snap your photo with Cinderella, either with your own camera or with theirs. Currently, Cinderella is appearing with Princess Elena. You won’t have both of them in the same photo, but Princess Fairytale Hall is great way to see two princesses at once.

Cinderella Icons

It’s hard to miss Cinderella Castle, the Magic Kingdom’s iconic landmark,  named for our favorite princess. However, did you know that there’s also a fountain portraying poor Cinderella right behind the castle? If you look just right, you’ll see a crown perched on her head.  Fans should also visit the Castle Couture shop to see Cinderella’s wedding dress and her pink ballgown made by the enterprising mice–the one her not-so-nice stepsisters destroyed. And, when at the carousel, look up to see the paintings depicting Cinderella’s life.

Cinderella and Prince Charming smile for the crowd and cameras as they ride a flower bedecked float in the afternoon parade.

PARADES
Festival of Fantasy Parade

If you don’t care about talking to Cinderella and just want to snap her photo, don’t miss the daily Festival of Fantasy parade. Cinderella, like many of the princesses, shares a float with her favorite prince. The parade is fun for all ages, full of music, dancing, and familiar characters. If you don’t want to wait for a great spot to watch, try booking the Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant.

SHOWS
Magic Kingdom Welcome Show–Let the Magic Begin

Okay, okay…We really haven’t seen Cinderella in the Welcome Show. However, her stepsisters Drusilla and Anastasia do  make an appearance, as does the Fairy Godmother.  We enjoy starting our day with this show, even if Cinderella isn’t there. She’s probably at Princess Fairytale Hall getting ready to greet her guests.

Happily Ever After Fireworks

Watch for Cinderella’s image on the castle projections on this musical extravaganza complete with dazzling displays of fireworks. Don’t want to save a seat for the perfect castle view? Consider booking the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrance Restaurant.

ATTRACTIONS
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel

Located in Fantasyland right behind Cinderella Castle, this carousel is fun for all ages. It depicts several scenes from the film Cinderella and is one of the original Magic Kingdom rides despite its name change from Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel to Prince Charming  Regal Carrousel.

Restaurants
Cinderella’s Royal Table

If you’ve always dreamed of dining in a castle, Cinderella’s Royal Table is the place for you. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant is the hardest reservation to get in all of Walt Disney World due to its small size and limited seating. Guests meet with Cinderella before heading upstairs to dine. While dining, various other princesses will circulate to interact with guests.

Epcot

France

It’s rare to find a Cinderella meet & greet in France, however you can find a lot of Cinderella merchandise in the Souvenirs de France shop.

restaurants
Norway’s Akershus

The Akershus Royal Banquet is a great way to visit with several princesses while dining at the same time. Guests usually can find Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, and Belle in this medieval castle. Akershus’s Princess Storybook Dining is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but reservations fill up quickly. After all, who doesn’t want to dine with royalty?

OTHER

Look for the Cinderella and Prince Charming topiary during Epcot’s Flower and Garden show each spring. Make sure to check the time on the clock.

Hollywood Studios

FANTASMIC!

Another place to view Cinderella is the nightly Fantasmic! show. Good battles evil in this night-time show filled with music, lasers, dancing water, and fireworks.  If you’re visiting at busy time of year, consider a dining package that includes tickets to the show. If you decide that’s not for you, plan on showing up early to secure a seat.

Animal Kingdom

Despite the fact that Cinderella has many friends among the mice and birds, she does not appear at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

At the resorts

Grand Floridian

If you want to meet several characters from Cinderella, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort is the restaurant for you. Every night, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the evil stepmother Lady Tremaine, and stepsisters Anastasia and Drusilla appear while guests dine at this buffet. This is one of my favorite character meals because the characters are so fun and true to form. I’ve watched a guest get down on one knee and propose to one of the stepsisters  and Prince Charming lead a little girl in a short waltz.

As always, make your reservations 180 days in advance if you can. However, I have had good luck getting last-minute reservations here if I wasn’t particular about the times. Remember that Cinderella and company are only present at dinner. Breakfast is a character meal, but features Mary Poppins, the Mad Hatter, Alice, Tigger, and Winnie the Pooh instead of the Cinderella crew. Also, please keep in mind that characters are never guaranteed. If you are lucky, you may just meet Cinderella’s mice instead!

  1. Oh my goodness you are such a good mom for finding everywhere you can meet Cinderella! We have a birthday party in a couple of weeks and they tired Cinderella to come, so excited!

  2. I’ve only been to Disney once and that was in 2012 to watch my son’s high school marching band perform there. I do not recall seeing the major characters and thought I remembered being told that you have to seek them out. It was just my husband and I, so of course, we didn’t do that!

  3. It seems like eons since we went to Disney World when my kids were young. At that time Little Mermaid was my daughter’s favourite, followed by Snow White. We did see Cinderella in the parade. Gosh, what we do to make our kids super happy.

  4. This is a great information for me to know that Cinderella can be found in many places! I have saved this post for out next Disneyland trip so that I know exactly where to find her!

  5. This is great and I definitely want to go to Disney World MORE now. I’m a roller coaster fanatic, so I’d be hitting those up most of the time. I WOULD like to take a picture with Tiana, Jasmine, anyone from Emperor’s New Groove, and all seven dwarfs, if you know where THEY hang out. 😉

    1. To meet all seven dwarfs, you’ll need to go to one of the parties. I know they are usually at the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. There’s usually quite a line so be prepared to wait. Tiana and Jasmine are easier to find. The Emperor’s New Groove characters are rare to see these days.

  6. I like that she can be found at several different places giving you more options of being able to meet up with her. I absolutely love Disney and seeing the kids excited over meeting the characters makes my heart so happy.

  7. “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”, I can’t wait to meet Cinderella! That would be one of the reasons why I want to visit Disney World!

  8. this is such a detailed write up. I remember when our twins were younger we visited Disney World. They were able to get their books autographed by all of the princesses and prince it was such a an amazing time for them. Unfortunately they have outgrown that stuff 😔 they are 13 years old now.

  9. When I was a child, Cinderella was one of my favourite fairy tales – lovely character. It sounds like you had a fun day in the company of Cinderella – good for you.

  10. What a great list on where to find Cinderella at Disney World! I know someday when we take our kids, Cinderella will be one we will HAVE to see. 🙂 Pinning for later!

  11. I won a trip a few years back when I was working. It was so much fun to go, even minus kids. We won’t go until my boys are older. We want to be out of the stroller season when we go but I’m going to pin this for later.

    1. I think 5-6 is the perfect age. Still young enough to believe, but old enough to walk on their own. We didn’t use strollers once our kids were in school.

  12. The first time my daughter met Cinderella I thought she was going to collapse and it was in the old toon town fair area which I think may now be gone. She was so young but had all her moves down perfectly. As a family I didn’t we woudl ever recover after hearing that the Wishes Fireworks show was being replaced but Happily Ever After does not disappoint. I’d give you our secret viewing spot but we can’t let that cat out of the bag. Disneyland in CA has a great fireworks show as well. Different from WDW.
