If you’ve been planning the perfect trip, you may wonder if your children are the right age and height to get the most out of Walt Disney World. While the Magic Kingdom and other parks are very family friendly, there are some rides that do have minimum height restrictions to keep guests safe. To help you figure out what your child can and can not ride, I’ve made a list of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom height requirements to make planning easier and to avoid disappointment at the parks.
How to Get the Perfect Magic Kingdom Ride Photos
Guests at Walt Disney World encounter PhotoPass photographers throughout the park. This makes the Memory Maker package a great investment if you are willing to take the time to stop and pose. But, did you know that the Memory Maker package also includes on-ride photos? It’s a great way to get those action photos that you would otherwise miss out on. However, the secret to a great photo is knowing where the camera is. Luckily, with some research (both online and in-person), I’ve come up with a list of where the cameras are so you can get the best Magic Kingdom ride photos.

Rookie Mistakes NOT to Make at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
So, if you are like us, you may have moved your spring break Disney trip to the fall because of Covid-19 and the stay-at-home orders. Even though we were disappointed to lose out on the beautiful spring weather and the gorgeous, EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, visiting Walt Disney World during the autumn also has its own perks. In addition to the Food and Wine Festival in EPCOT, guests who are visiting the Walt Disney World resort during August, September, or October have the option of buying a special after-hours ticket for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you’ve never been to the Halloween party, it’s a lot of fun, but there are some rookie Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party mistakes to avoid.

Disney’s Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner Review
Looking for a delicious dinner at Walt Disney World? Check out the Liberty Tree Tavern, located in the Liberty Square section of Disney’s Magic Kingdom park. We’ve had dinner there several times over the years, and it never disappoints. Our latest feast was on Christmas Eve, during the busiest time of year. Being a party of two on this trip, our experience may vary somewhat from that of larger groups. If you are deciding whether to choose this restaurant for your upcoming trip, please keep reading to learn more about our visit.

Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Our Review
On Christmas Day, Dennis and I stumbled across a line for Oga’s Cantina in the Black Spire Outpost of Disney Hollywood Studios Star Wars Land. Not being huge Star Wars fans (blasphemy to some, I know–especially our boys), we weren’t sure what the line was actually for at first. After talking to a cast member, we learned that Oga’s Cantina was a bar that served fun drinks and snacks. Despite the fact that it wasn’t even 10 a.m., it was Christmas, so we decided to try the cantina out.

EPCOT’s Artisan Cotton Candy
Visiting the World Showcase at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center is always an interesting and enjoyable experience. One such creation is EPCOT’s artisan cotton candy

Six Classic Toddler-Friendly Magic Kingdom Rides
When Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom opened on October 1, 1971, there were only 22 attractions, including the parades and fireworks show. Several of those rides and attractions are still operating today, delighting children of all ages and bringing joy to thousands each day. Parents and young grandparents (like us) can bring their little ones to enjoy the same toddler-friendly Magic Kingdom rides that we loved when we were their ages.

Where to Find Cinderella at Walt Disney World
When our daughter, Meghan, was young, she loved Cinderella. She watched the video EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. She watched it so many times that I just knew that when we went to Walt Disney World, we weren’t coming home until she met her favorite princess. Fortunately, I knew just where to find Cinderella. And, with a little luck and some pixie dust, I was able to make the perfect reservations so my little Meg could meet her favorite character.
Many little girls (and big ones too) love Cinderella. She’s the perfect heroine–she perseveres despite her evil stepmother and awful stepsisters. She is kind and loving, and she definitely deserves the perfect Prince Charming. Luckily for us, Cindy can be found in many places throughout Walt Disney World which makes her one of the easiest princesses to meet.

Disney’s Boma: A Restaurant Review
On our recent trip to Walt Disney World, we were determined to eat at every single restaurant that the Animal Kingdom Lodge housed. (Okay, I was determined; Dennis didn’t care as long as he got to eat.) The only restaurant that we’d been to before was Boma, the buffet featuring African specialties along with American favorites.
Open for both breakfast and dinner, Boma is a buffet specializing in dishes from 50 different African countries served alongside familiar American favorites. Guests dine under thatched roofs, surrounded by brilliant colors which invoke the vibrant textiles found in Africa. We’d eaten dinner there before, but hadn’t ever visited for breakfast. Because we would be staying at Jambo House, I made both breakfast and dinner reservations for our long weekend stay.
